School Leavers

University Graduates
Finishing or close to the end if your degree? It’s an exciting and daunting time. The world is looking pretty uncertain at the moment for finding your first job. Yet if you know what you want to do and have put time into figuring out your skills, attributes and values you won’t miss the perfect opportunity when it comes along. Furthermore you will be able to communicate clearly and directly in the interview process because you can explain how well this opportunity fits into your long term career plan and what you can give it. Career Changers
Do you know what you would ideally like to do? Or have no idea where to start? Either way if you are not happy and fulfilled in what you are doing now you need to start planning for an alternative. We can work through costs to retrain, what is open to you if you are facing redundancy or how to start a side business (including when you know it can sustain you). I can show you how to convert qualifications gained in other countries or how to switch careers most easily. We can plan for the short, medium and long term, and set some goals to action plan our way there. Government Departments
Careers guidance coaching and mentoring to engage and empower the county’s most vulnerable year 7 to 13 students to prevent or minimise NEET (students not in education, employment or training). I help young people recognise their own responsibility to discover, work towards and manage their ideal careers. I work with parents/carers and a variety of professionals to help the young person identify and tailor a route to achieve their goals to provide cohesive targeted support.
I am currently working with permanently excluded, children missing from education SENDAR and students who have recently moved into the country to dream and achieve. I also brief the case managers and other professionals involved on motivational interviewing techniques to help them support the young person in their daily contact.
